Group Programme Edinburgh
English language programmes are offered in Edinburgh for student and school groups from September to June.
Group study programmes are operated from our premises in York Place, right in the scenic heart of the city and very well served by public transport. Study programmes are specifically designed with flexibility in mind, while our first-class facilities provide a relaxed and friendly learning environment for students - with our experienced staff close at hand to offer any assistance required throughout the duration of your time with us
Group Programme Edinburgh Course Details:
School Location
The school is situated in the upper floors of an 18th century townhouse and offers a selection of six bright, modern classrooms to suit various class sizes, free access to recreational PCs and wireless internet access throughout. A large common room with a widescreen TV where students can meet up and relax makes this a very welcoming study environment. Our unbeatable city centre location, which sits on a major bus route, means that many of Edinburgh’s most popular attractions are right on our doorstep.

Accommodation
Students attending our group programmes are accommodated for the duration of their course with host families in a shared twin room. As parents themselves, the hosts ensure a caring family environment for students and provide them with breakfast and dinner on week days and breakfast, lunch and dinner at weekends.
Living as part of the family helps students to settle quickly in Edinburgh, with strong friendships often formed. All students are supplied with a local bus pass, affording them straightforward transportation from their accommodation to our city centre school.

A typical week
In common with our summer programme, our September to June students enjoy a great balance between language study and the opportunity to enjoy their stay in the city.
We recognise that all groups have their own specific requirements and we can supplement or replace the 15 hour General English tuition element of our standard programme with tailored tuition options including, for example, Cambridge, TOEIC or Trinity exam preparation providing 7.5, 15, 22.5 or 25 hours of tuition per week as required.
This ‘pick and mix’ approach effectively means there’s no such thing as a typical week, with group leaders also able to devise their own programme of excursions and activities - which we can help to theme around the interests of the group.

Getting to and from York Place
A bus stop right outside our front door offers instant access to Edinburgh’s comprehensive public transport network and means our premises are ideally situated for access to and from host families and activity locations. All students are supplied with a local bus pass and will be accompanied to the school on their first day by a member of their host family. Full and up-to-date bus timetables and route maps can be accessed on the Lothian Buses Website.
